Justice for Breakfast, please!

So, Man of Steel was pretty good. As far as gritty reboots go, it was nice to see one that still held firmly to the fantasy it was initially built from. As far as Supes movies go, dang! I was impressed on many fronts, while there were (few) points of plot stagnation, overall, the action and (captain obvious) dialogue actually kept the movie paced well enough to be enjoyable throughout. Some of the sound effects could’ve been tuned down or rethought, as at many points the high pitched wailings jumped past painful. However, with as few drawbacks as it had versus most DC flicks, I willingly give 4.5 out of 5 stars.

“Blood is thicker than water”, when used in the context of family over friends, is in fact a wildly incorrect bastardisation.
The true, full quote is “The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb,” and refers to relationships forged by choice holding deeper meaning than those of mere biology.
